Why This Watch Matters

This Omega DeVille 145.017 boasts a compact case, a rich, matte black dial, and a manual winding movement. We dare you not to love it.

The Full Story

The Omega DeVille chronograph reference 145.017 is an undervalued watch. First introduced in 1968, this bi-compax boasts a number of things that we love about vintage chronos. It has a compact 34mm stainless-steel case with a screw-down caseback. Inside you have the Omega manual-winding caliber 860 movement, an evolution of the caliber 320 much like the famous three-register chronograph movement 321 preceded the 861 in vintage Speedmaster. Rounding out the watch is a gorgeous and simple matte black dial with two understated registers. Like we said, this watch is undervalued, underrated, and one you can’t live without.
